Physician-scientist at Natera. Circulating tumour DNA, minimal residual disease and precision oncology.
George is a physician-scientist working at the front edge of liquid biopsy — the practice of reading fragments of tumour DNA circulating in ordinary blood. At Natera he works on the oncology programmes built around minimal residual disease: finding the smallest possible signal that cancer is present, or that it has returned.
He advises NordicScan on how molecular signals sit alongside imaging. An MRI shows structure; blood shows biology. His interest is in what happens when a practice reads both, on the same person, year after year.
“Data is not an answer. The work is turning a signal into a decision a patient can actually act on.”
